April/May 2021

Team,

Welcome to 2021 SAP Utilities Community Newsletter.  Wanted to share with you different items going on in our community in the near future.  Let me know if you want to be removed from this distribution or if there are others in your organization that should be added.

April:

The Next Decade of Utility Transformation – SMUD’s 2030 Vision – Paul Lau, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager from SMUD – April 8th

SMUD’s 2030 Zero Carbon plan is among the most ambitious in plans in the U.S. and will serve as a model for how communities and regions transform themselves in the post-pandemic world where that faces increasingly occurrences of extreme climate related events. Understanding SMUD’s plan and the unique landscape facing midsized utilities, their appetite for innovation, and the challenges they face will help utilities and their strategic partners better plan for the future. In addition, the post-pandemic world will yield significant opportunities for utilities to take advantage of digital solutions to make data-driven business decisions and improve operational efficiency. Paul Lau, CEO and GM for SMUD and SAP’s Jay Castleberry will be presenting.
