Agents inside the CIP perimeter

Does an AI agent writing to systems in your Electronic Security Perimeter trigger NERC CIP obligations? Is the agent a BES Cyber Asset? I haven’t seen a clean answer anywhere — has anyone’s compliance team taken a position?
